"World's Cricket record broken,16 juni 1932. Sucliffe and Holmes, the famous opening batsmen for Yorkshire, today broke a world's cricket record, which has stood for 34 years. They scored 555 runs in their first wicket partnership, thus breakin te record set by Brown and Tunnicliffe, also Yorkshiremen, by one run. When the score had reached 555," Sutcliffe, who had scored 313," deliberately allowed himself to be bowled out. O.P.S.
